Cooper C. Collins, MBA, serves as Managing Partner and CIO of MagnaSci Venture funds including advisory roles to many Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies. He is a founder of Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc., (PTX: NASDAQ), a specialty pharmaceutical company primarily focused on the sales, marketing, manufacturing and development of branded, generic, and OTC products. Mr Collins served as President and CEO of Pernix from 2008 until May of 2013. During his career with Pernix, Mr. Collins worked in every capacity from sales representative to the executive level. While serving as CEO, Mr. Collins guided the Company to over an 800% increase in sales. In 2010, Mr. Collins was invited to ring the bell at the NYSE. At that time, he was the youngest CEO of a publicly traded pharmaceutical company in history.
Mr. Collins also serves as a Board Member, as Chairman of the Compensation Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee for TherapeuticsMD, Inc., (TXMD: NASDAQ), a women’s healthcare company focused on developing and commercializing products targeted exclusively for women. While serving on the board of TXMD Mr. Collins helped the Company grow its Market Capitalization by 80 times and helped the company sell its women’s health business to Mayne Pharma Group (MYX: ASX) Mr. Collins also serves on boards of privately owned companies in many sectors including defense, recycling, tech, entertainment, banking, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.
Mr. Collins currently lives in the Houston area with his wife, Stacey, and their two children. The Collins’s philanthropic activities are heavily weighted in favor of charities for children and veterans, including participating as a board member of the Quick Response Foundation and as a board member of Curetivity.
Paige Scardigli has been the Executive Director of Curetivity since 2016. Her connection to the Foundation dates back to its inception in 2006 as she was a volunteer and an Executive Committee Member. Paige is responsible for overseeing the overall management, strategic direction, and operations of the organization. She does not view her responsibilities as a job, but as her passion project, as the mission of St. Jude has captured her heart.
Paige brings over 10 years of institutional and high-net worth fundraising and investor relations experience to the Foundation. Paige served as Vice President of Business Development at Monarch Alternative Capital LP, a $5 billion distressed debt hedge fund. Prior to joining Monarch, she worked as a Vice President in Investor Relations at Independence Capital Partners, a $12 billion group of private equity and private real estate funds, and as an Associate in Investor Relations at Apax Partners, a $35 billion private equity firm. Paige started her career at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in the Alternatives Capital Markets Group.
Paige graduated with a B.S. and dual concentrations in Finance and Management from Georgetown University where she was a member of their Division 1 Women’s Lacrosse Team. She continues to serve on the Georgetown Hoyas Unlimited Board as the Women’s Lacrosse President where she is responsible for alumni fundraising on behalf of the University’s Athletic Department.
Paige currently resides in Connecticut with her husband and three young sons.
Amanda Kennedy has been a member of the Board of Directors of Curetivity since 2021. Prior to being appointed to the Board of Directors, Ms. Kennedy spent over ten years actively involved in the charity through her roles as a volunteer and event committee member of the annual Golf Invitational and Gala in Westchester, NY. Further inspired by her visits to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, she is more than ever dedicated to Curetivity’s mission of creating hope and curing kids.
As a Marketing and Communications consultant, Ms. Kennedy helps brands build and deliver their stories to the world. Prior to her role as a consultant, she spent thirteen years with The Trump Organization, which culminated in her role as the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications.
Ms. Kennedy oversaw all marketing strategies, corporate communications, and product development across the golf, real estate, hotel, winery, and media verticals for The Trump Organization, including the coordination of large scale events and grand openings for the organization. Ms. Kennedy is a member of SAG-AFTRA after eight seasons as the “Receptionist” on The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice. She resides in Greenwich, CT with her husband and two young children, Grace (6) and Robbie (3).
Andrew joined Maeson after founding Copenhaver Capital, a global investment and advisory firm, leveraging his deep relationships with family offices and private equity firms.
Before Copenhaver, Andrew worked in investment banking, including experience at Goldman Sachs & Co. in its Private Wealth Management Group, providing advisory services to wealthy families, select foundations, and endowments. Andrew started his career in the M&A and Financial Restructuring group at Houlihan Lokey and later joined the private equity firm Siguler Guff & Co.
He also co-founded Curetivity, a non-profit organization and is on its Board of Directors and the Leadership Board for ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. He received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and is Series 7, 66, and 3 licensed.
Alex Millan was born and raised in Scranton, PA. He was born with a cleft palate, and had corrective surgery on his 1st birthday at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This experience rooted a deep, personal connection with children’s charities, prompting him to join Curetivity’s Executive Committee at the young age of 14, and its Board of Directors at the age of 24.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Palm Beach, FL to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University while simultaneously pursuing a career in real estate investing. At the age of 21, Alex co-founded Amato-Millan Development and began assembling land for his first multi-family project. As managing partner, he was responsible for every aspect of the development – from acquiring land to obtaining city approvals, leasing and managing the building. Alex continues to expand his portfolio in West Palm Beach across multi-family, industrial and commercial assets. Alex is also an avid traveler and golfer.
Andrew Slattery was born in Melbourne, Australia and migrated to California in 1979. He honed his skills in business management and golf course maintenance at PGA Business School. His dedication and work ethic at Canyon Lakes Country Club caught the attention of influential business owners, leading to a National Sales Manager role at Premier Plastics, where he doubled sales from $10 million to $20 million in four years.
In 2002, Andrew opened his first VIOC in Charlotte, NC, overcoming financial obstacles. Throughout his career, he contributed significantly to franchise growth and innovation, serving on various Franchise Advisory Boards and earning multiple awards, including Operator of the Year three times and Developer of the Year seven times.
After selling the majority of his 79 locations to Carousel Capital, Andrew became Director of Growth and Development, overseeing the company’s rapid expansion, which has doubled its size to over 165 locations in just two years. He is now Executive Chairman on the board of QAS.
Dr. Thomas L. Tzikas is a graduate of Boston College and Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Yale University and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Tzikas is double board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the Florida Society of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association and the Palm Beach Medical Society.
Dr. Tzikas has been a frequently sought after lecturer at many national and international facial plastic and cosmetic surgical meetings. He has published several academic articles in prestigious surgical journals as well as chapters in books and is recognized by his peers as a leader in Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Tzikas owns and operates a highly successful plastic surgery clinic in Delray Beach, Florida. He is married to his wife Gina for 33 years and they have two lovely daughters, Iliana and Constantina.
Dr. Tzikas and his family have experienced the amazing care provided by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to children and their families and have been long-time supporters of this Research Hospital. Their daughter, Iliana, was diagnosed with a rare leukemia at the age of 13 years and was treated successfully through a research protocol at St. Jude. She is currently more than 15 years out from her treatment and is thriving as a Physician Associate in her father’s business. Dr. Tzikas joined the Curetivity Board in 2016 and has provided a unique perspective to the fundraising goals for St. Jude.
